Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start with the history of the monoski. The monoski was invented in the 1960s around the time of the first snowboards. The monoski was more popular in Europe but the popularity faded with the rise of snowboarding.

  2. Step 2

Study the records of the skiers. The first monoski X Game event was held in 2005 at X Games 11 in Aspen. The gold medal winner was Tyler Walker. Tyler also competed in the Olympics and World Cup events. The monoski is a recent addition to the X Game line-up and features the most outstanding contestants in the nation.

  3. Step 3

Contact the United States Paralympics Team. The Paralympics coincide with the Olympics. The Paralympics competitors for the Winter Games are the main athletes who vie for the X Game monoski championships. The U.S. Paralympics Team has information on upcoming monoski events and maintains records of past monoski competitions.

  4. Step 4

Get in touch with individual monoskiers through their websites and blogs. Many of the top athletes promote themselves through the web. X Game sites have web links to the medal winning monoskiers.

  5. Step 5

Track the performance of monoskiers using ESPN and other sports programs and websites. As the monoski competitions receive more publicity, major sports news outlets will create more content and hire monoskiers as commentators and reporters.
