How to Pose for a Men's Magazine
Posing for magazines is normally considered a job for experienced models only. Yet many women can pose for a men's magazine with little or no previous experience. Learn how to pose for a men's magazine by following these steps.

1
Groom yourself to get the look of a sexy model. Have your hair done (no it doesn't have to be blonde), manicure you fingernails and toenails, and wax your legs and any other body parts that may show.
-
2
Look through men's magazines to see what kind of women pose in them. Some men's magazines prefer certain looks. Notice how the women pose and in what positions.
-
-
3
Have pictures of yourself taken by a professional photographer. Photos taken by a friend with a regular camera will not make the same impact.
-
4
Submit your photos to various men's magazines. Every men's magazine contains contact information, and you can also find it on their websites. You'll find directions on how and where to send your photographs. A member of the magazine staff should contact you within a few weeks or months of your submission.
-
5
Attend open auditions to appear in men's magazines. Some popular magazines hold open auditions around the country several times a year. You must be over 18 to be considered.

This is good advice. I posed for a men's magazine about......well, a number of years ago! All my original photos were amateur photos but they were taken by someone who knew what they were doing. I was also modeling art classes and the teacher knew of someone looking for models. That's how I got hooked up. What this article says is all true. One more thing......on the day you pose, wear loose clothing or be nude as long as you can before the shoot. You don't want clothing marks and photographers don't have much patience for this if you do!
