Things You'll Need:
- Strip lashes
- Eyelash adhesive
- 2 thin makeup brushes
-
Step 1
First, you'll wanna wash your hands and face to remove any dirt and oils.
-
Step 2
Now pull the strip lashes off of the packaging, and hold them up to your eye as though you were going to apply them. Get used to doing this so that once it has adhesive on it, you feel comfortable. If one end of the lash hairs are longer than the other, the longest end should be applied closest to your nose. (Though if you think it looks better the other way, it's really up to you and what makes you feel pretty, im just letting you know how it's usually done by a makeup artist.)
-
Step 3
Once you have an idea of how you're going to place them, trim off the excess strip to match the size of your eyelid.
-
Step 4
Then on the back of your clean hand, or a makeup pallet, place a drop of the eyelash adhesive.
-
Step 5
Now take the back of your thin makeup brush (the handles nub), dip it into the adhesive, then take that and spread it along the entire length of lash strip.
-
Step 6
Give the eyelash adhesive only a few seconds to begin to set, then place the lash strip along your lash line.
-
Step 7
To get the effect of the lashes being real (and growing out from your skin) take the clean makeup brush handle (nub) and roll the skin of your eyelid over the strip lash. You'll need to do this quickly, while the adhesive i still a little wet, or else the roll-over won't stick. I've found that the roll-over technique also makes them feel more secure.
-
Step 8
Give your eyes some rest and a minute for the adhesive to finish setting, then go on to the application of the rest of your makeup.
