Your Christmas tree should reflect who you are and what you love. If you love NASCAR, you might want to create a NASCAR-themed Christmas tree that will put your friends to shame. With a little bit of time and a trip to the automotive shop, you can create a custom tree that shows the world just how much you love NASCAR.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide on a theme. There are a few ways that you can go when decorating your tree. You can create a tree that is a tribute to one particular driver or car, or you can pay homage to the sport in general. If you choose to be specific, stick to the colors of the car and look for ornaments and memorabilia to help you create the look you want.

  2. Step 2

Make it bright. One of the great things about NASCAR is the bright colors. Cover your tree with red, green and yellow lights to make a big impact.

  3. Step 3

Bring NASCAR home with some authentic decorations. Picking up some store-bought NASCAR ornaments is a good start, but if you want to take your tree to a higher level, think outside the box. Consider putting small checkered flags on your tree along with some empty plastic oil bottles. You can also take the tires off of matchbox-size or RC cars and string them up to create a wheel garland.

  4. Step 4

Top it off right. Racing helmets, orange traffic cones or checkered flags are all great ideas for fun tree toppers.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't forget the tree skirt when creating your NASCAR-themed Christmas tree. For extra oomph, set up a race track with remote-control cars. That way you can have your very own NASCAR race around the Christmas tree.
