Get found! Include Technorati tags at the end of your blog posts. This will put your post into the list of posts searchers find on Technorati when searching for the tags you used.
Claim your blog. This is a Technorati term that simply means give them the URL of the blog where you're going to use tags.
Insert the links to technorati after your blog posts
Step1
A Technorati tag is a link that uses a standard format. That format is:
<a href="http://technorati.com/tag/terms+go+here">terms go here</a>
You customize two parts of the link. First, you put your terms where it says terms+go+here. If it's a one word tag, perhaps something like "blogging" then the plus signs are not needed. If you use more than one word in the term, perhaps "blogging tips" then use plus signs like this: blogging+tips. Secondly, customize the words the user clicks on. These should correspond to the words you entered inside the quotation marks in the link, except be given in plain text. If your term was "blogging+tips" then the word for the user to click would simply be "blogging tips."
Step2
You must write a link for each tag. Separate them with a comma. Use the same format over and over, just change the terms.
View your blog in a browser. Test the Technorati tag by clicking on one of the links. You will be taken to Technorati, where you will see any posts that share that technorati tag.
Tips & Warnings
Technorati will let you mark favorite blogs to watch and provides many other services to bloggers, so take time to explore and see what is available there.
Before you decide what tags to use, take a look at Technorati and see what words other bloggers are using to tag posts on a the same topic as your topic. Use those tags to increase your visibility among the Technorati search results.
Don't expect your post to appear instantly when you add the tag. It may take a few hours or even a day for Technorati to refresh its information from your blog.
