Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Reduce your stress. High levels of stress make it difficult for your brain to keep track of all the little things.
Step2
Mix it up. Try new things--food, games, routes, stores, books, positions--anything to break up the daily monotony. However, put your keys and cell phone in the same place.
Step3
Get physical. Regular exercise promotes healthy brain growth. Start by walking more, it may be difficult to make time, but it is important.
Step4
Take care of yourself. Eat your vegetables and get enough sleep. Take a daily multivitamin. Your brain loves spinach. It is loaded with iron which carries oxygen to the blood.
Step5
Repeat after me: Crossword puzzles and Sudoku are not wastes of time. Games, riddles and puzzles that are challenging will actually help you remember information, details and your mother's birthday.
Step6
Positive thinking about self and your life will automatically help strengthen your memory.
Step7
Keep a sense of humor about yourself and your memory. Keep things light and don't worry that you are a little forgetful, even if just had your sixth set of car keys made.
