Bart Simpson might not be a flesh-and-blood person but he has a fan base that is bigger than that of most real life actors. Being a Bart Simpson fan isn't hard, but being a really good Bart Simpson fan takes a lot of Simpsons knowledge and even more devotion. Follow these steps to become a savvy Bart Simpson fan.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get caught up on Simpsons episodes. This step is for your own well-being, as other Bart Simpson fans jealously guard their trivia knowledge of Bart and might reject any outsider who can't tell you the name of Bart's first love or where he went when he first ran away from home.

  2. Step 2

Check out the Bart style. Bart has a walk, a talk and a very specific pair of blue shorts. Know as much as you can about the eldest Simpson child so you can tout your knowledge amongst other Simpson lovers.

  3. Step 3

Join a Bart Simpson fan club. While there are a number of general Simpsons fan clubs, the true Bart connoisseur should gain entry to a Bart-specific fan club. The "Bart Simpson Fan Club" on the Bebo website is a good place to start.

  4. Step 4

Start collecting. You can't be a great Bart Simpson fan without a cache of collectibles and memorabilia. The "Ay, Caramba!" T-shirt is obviously a must, while other rare collectibles will get you deeper into the Bart Simpson fandom.

  5. Step 5

Get your Bart vocabulary down. Bart has added to the English lexicon such eloquent phrases as "Eat my shorts, man," "Ay, caramba!" and "Get bent!" Get familiar with the most important of the phrases so you can interact with other Bart fans in their native tongue.
