Sending digital pictures by email or uploading them to the Internet make sharing photos much easier. But some people may not be able to download the large files that your digital camera produces. That's why you need to resize the digital photos and shrink them to manageable proportions with picture resizing software.
Take some pictures with your digital camera. Download them to your computer and store them in a folder.
2
Go to the Microsoft website and download the Image Resizer software. This takes only a few seconds with a fast Internet connection. Install the software on your computer.
3
Locate the folder where you stored the pictures you want to resize. Right-click on the photo that you want to resize. Select "Resize Pictures" from the "Context" menu.
4
Choose a new size for your digital camera pictures. The options available are small, medium, large and handheld PC. Select the Advanced tab for additional options, such as resizing the original photos rather than making copies.
5
Click "OK" and wait for the software to resize your photos. By default, the Image Resizer software creates copies of your photos, appending the size chosen to the original filename. For example, a photo titled Pict0001 will become Pict0001 (small).

Most digital cameras have a USB cable to connect them to your computer. Switch on the camera and you will be able to drag and drop the pictures from the camera to your computer's hard drive.
