The Internet is a great place to find free stuff, and there is no limit to the amount of items available for free online. To find the best free items, there are several different venues that compile the best offers. But, there are ways to find other free items online outside the compilation sites as well.

1. Check out free stuff through the search engines. Search through these "freebie" sites to find the category of items you want to get.

2. Read the listings carefully to make sure the items are really free or whether there are shipping and handling charges or other hidden fees.

3. Look for free Internet items you can use and not just products to take advantage of all the freebies available. Use free screen savers, email addresses, anti-spyware programs and more.

4. Scour coupon sites for free items. Find special offer sites that compile both coupons and items that are free after rebates. Also, seek out sites that exclusively compile items that are free after rebates.

5. Frequent sites that offer free items for completing tasks or for saving up points. Use sites that offer free items after buying from certain websites online, if they are things you would have bought anyway. Collect points on those sites to maximize the benefits of buying everyday items.

6. Visit sites that sell your favorite products, and see if the manufacturer is offering any free samples. Check the sites regularly for free samples, coupons redeemable for free products or rebate offers.

The points are redeemable for many things, including gift cards, video games, etc. So far, I have gotten a $5 amazon.com gift card and a $25 Restaurant.com gift card.
