Step 1
Make a large Christmas bow that will be placed in the center header of the door or window.
-
Step 2
Measure and cut enough Christmas ribbon to drape from the center of the opening to the corner and three quarters of the way down the side of the opening. Cut the ribbon on an angle; use pinking shears to stop fraying. Do this for both sides of the opening.
-
Step 3
Attach the cut ribbons to the center of the opening. Drape the ribbon gracefully to the corner of the window or door and attach there.
-
Step 4
Add the Christmas bow on top of the cut ribbons in the center of the opening. Use a hot glue gun or stapler for stability.
-
Step 5
Carefully attach the Christmas cards to the ribbons, starting at the top outer corner of the window or door opening. Continue adding cards down the display until filled.
-
Step 1
Buy a large foil covering for your door, and cover the interior side of the door with the foil. These foil coverings for front doors are available at most general merchandise stores.
-
Step 2
Start at the top of the door and attach the nicest Christmas card as the top of the Christmas tree.
-
Step 3
Place two cards directly below the first card, making sure they are staggered and centered with the top card.
-
Step 4
Continue adding cards until the Christmas cards are shaped like a Christmas tree.
-
Step 1
Buy a large piece of foamcore and fabric to cover it.
-
Step 2
Cover the foamcore with the fabric, pulling the fabric tight and fastening it on the back.
-
Step 3
Attach decorative Christmas ribbon to the wall display in the back to make a decorative hanger.
-
Step 4
Cut several strips of the ribbon, long enough to reach across and behind the display.
-
Step 5
Attach the ribbon strips either horizontally or on the diagonal to the display board; glue only the ends on the backside, leaving the ribbons on the front unattached.
-
Step 6
Slide Christmas cards onto the ribbons of the Christmas card display and hang from the ribbon hanger.
