How to Sign Up for Little League Tee Ball

Tee ball is a great game for youngsters ages 4-7. The Little League Association is open to all children, regardless of ability or special needs. Tee ball teaches children the basics of team work and baseball while building self-esteem. Most communities have Little League programs. If your community doesn't have one, you can easily start one by visiting Little League's official website for guidelines.

1. Look for signs or bulletins posted in your community. If there is Little League in your area, they will begin advertising before the spring season begins.
2. Call the local youth sports director for your parks and recreation department.
3. Check with your local YMCA if the parks and recreation department doesn't host a tee-ball program.
4. Start your own Little League teams in your community. Check out the Little League site for a guide on how to create a team in your area.
5. Be a positive adult presence on the sidelines once you've enrolled your child in a tee-ball program. It's important that you encourage good sportsmanship on and off the field with your child and model it for the players while you're in the stands.
