Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, recently cut her long locks and now sports a sleek and funky bob aptly called, “The Pob.” Although the classic bob is timeless and has been around for many years, Posh Spice has added her unique twist and has totally reinvented the hairstyle. Victoria Beckham’s “Pob” is an angled bob and is graduated at the back of her head with long, textured front layers. The amazing thing about the Pob is that it can be uniquely tailored to suit each woman’s facial features and hair type. In fact, Posh Spice, herself, has tweaked her Pob look several times since she first debuted it. The first version was closer to a classic bob with a sharp angle (short in back and long in front). Now, the back of her head is more of a shag with shorter texturized layers. With a few minor adjustments anyone can look as trendy and chic as Posh Spice. Recently Beckham's BFF Katie Holmes--who has totally different facial features from Posh Spice--modified the Pob to create her own sophisticated look.

Step 1

Bring a couple photographs of Posh Spice’s hair and have your stylist analyze your jawline and the shape of your head. Together you and your stylist will be able to adjust the Pob to create a flattering individual look.

Consult your colorist for highlights to add depth and dimension to your Pob.

Style Your Hair Like Posh Spice

Step 1

Clean your hair with an appropriate product designed for your hair type and texture.
Step 2

Towel dry and apply a styling-cream, mousse or spray-in conditioner.
Step 3

Blow your hair upside down until it is almost dry. This will give you extra volume and body.
Step 4

Then, use a round barrel brush and blow dryer to smooth out your hair and to add movement. If you invest in a blow dryer with a brush attachment or nozzle attachment, this step may be easier, as you can simply brush your hair out.
Step 5

Complete your look by pinching the ends and edges of your hair with some styling wax or pomade.

Mist to smooth fly-aways and for general hold. Or, use finishing silicone-based spray to add some shine and luster to your hair.
