How to Make Chocolate Butter

Whoever thought of adding chocolate to butter was a genius. It is so decadent and good. Here is a recipe that will have you whipping up your own chocolate butter in no time. Does this Spark an idea?

  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp. sugar
  • Small bowl
  • Hand mixer

Instructions

      Remove one pound of butter from fridge and allow it soften for 1/2 hour.

      Combine butter, cocoa and sugar into a bowl.

      Whip contents with a hand mixer until contents are well mixed and the butter appears slightly fluffy.

      Place on a plate and "shape" using a spatula. If you want to get really fancy for a dinner party, place the chocolate butter in a mold that suits the occasion. Let it harden in the fridge and then remove from the mold.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can add a touch of vanilla to the recipe before mixing.

  • Add a dash of mint extract before mixing for mint chocolate butter.
