How to Plan a Customer Appreciation Day
You customers come to your business because of the value your business has to them. A customer appreciation day is one way that you can thank your customers for their patronage and loyalty. It can also be used as a promotion for your business if you use it as a marketing tool.

1
Plan a day that follows high sales but is at the start of a slower sales cycle. This will encourage additional sales when your business needs them most. Also consider which day of the week works well for your business and the budget that you can spend.

2
Decide on a promotion. While this event is to show appreciation to your clients, use it to also get a boost in your revenue. You can give away promotional products that have your company name, logo and information on them. You can hold a drawing for a prize for customers who purchase a specific item or spend a set amount. Find a promotion that will benefit your business.

3
Showcase new products. A customer appreciation day is an opportunity to introduce new products or services to your most loyal group of customers. If possible, have demonstrations or samples available for your customers. Also have a representative available to answer any questions.
-
4
Advertise the event. In order to have an effective customer appreciation day, your customers have to know about the event. Place signs around the business advertising the day, time and location of the event. Consider advertising in the newspaper, which might encourage new customers, and mailing out invitations to your most loyal customers.
-
5
Involve other businesses. Many businesses welcome the chance to promote their business at your customer appreciation day. Make sure that the businesses have samples or giveaways for your customers. Have a massage therapist offer chair massage or have a catering business bring in finger foods.
