Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Cross Both of Your Eyes
Step1
Look at the tip of your nose. Once you've done this, your eyes are basically crossed. Look upward so other people can see them.
Step2
Concentrate on moving your eyes upward so that your eyes are looking forward, yet still crossed. Continue to look at the bridge of your nose. You may not be able to do it right away, but practice and you will get there.
Step3
Use a pen or your finger if you can't focus your eyes in the way described above. Focus on the object, and then bring it closer to the bridge of your nose until your eyes are crossed
Step4
Get the feel of what it is like when your eyes are crossed. Then, with practice, you will be able to do it without the aid of these methods.
Step5
Ask a friend, or take a photograph of yourself crossing your eyes to see if you are doing it correctly. Trying to look in the mirror will do you no good-your eyes will only uncross.
Cross One Eye at a Time
Step1
Stand in front of a mirror.
Step2
Focus on your face in the reflection. Using a mirror is the best way to teach yourself to cross one eye at a time because you can see if you are doing it correctly or not.
Step3
Cross both of your eyes. When your eyes are crossed, you will see two fuzzy images of yourself in the mirror.
Step4
Concentrate on making one eye focus on your face while the other remains crossed. This may take some practice and patience.
Step5
Cross your eye without using the mirror once you have the hang of it by focusing on another object in the room.
Step6
Try doing the other eye. Once you are able to cross one eye at a time, you can get creative. Push your nose with your finger causing one eye to go inward and then the other. Pull your earlobe to make them uncross. Cross one eye at a time while looking at your friend or follow something back and forth across the room, making one eye cross one way and the other cross the other way.
