    Sunflower, Daisy and Mum Centerpiece

  1. Step 1

Choose large, colorful blooms of sunflowers, or, if you prefer, you can also use gerbera daisies or football mums. Their bright yellows, reds and pinks will infuse your table with the unmistakable warmth of summer.

  2. Step 2

Soak the floral foam in water then cut it to fit your pot.

  3. Step 3

Gather together your chosen flowers and cut their stems into a point to make inserting them into the foam easier.

  4. Step 4

Tie the stems together near the top with a rubber band then cover the rubber band with raffia.

  5. Step 5

Insert the flowers into the foam, and finish your design by concealing the foam with lots of decorative moss.

  6. Rose, Queen Anne's Lace and Lavender Centerpiece

  7. Step 1

Soak the floral foam then cut it to fit in the tray, taping it down to prevent shifting.

  8. Step 2

Cover the foam with decorative moss or ivy to conceal the foam while providing a base for your floral arrangement.

  9. Step 3

Cut the stems of the flowers so that they are 6 to 8 inches tall.

  10. Step 4

Fill the center of the arrangement with colorful miniature roses. Surround the roses with small bunches of Queen Anne's lace, baby's breath or other small white flower of your choice.

  11. Step 5

Complete the arrangement by sticking sprigs of lavender throughout.

Tips & Warnings
  • Trim the stems of your flowers at a 45-degree angle, using a knife rather than scissors to avoid crushing them.
