Instructions

1. Go to main web page for Hertz Car Sales. Skip the options on the front page and click on the "Locations" tab on the left-hand menu bar.

2. Click on the page's drop-down menu to see if they have a sales location in your state. Not all states have them, so the closest sales facility may be over 250 miles away.

3. Choose a city from the drop-down menu that will appear after you click on a state. If this location has any cars listed on the Internet, a menu will appear. If it does not, you will have to call the facility to find out what they have in stock.

4. Decide on a make and model. Those cars will be listed on the next page. Click on one of them to find out the price, options, mileage and other information.

5. Select the "I Want This Car" button on the right-hand side if you are interested. The next screen will ask for your name, contact information and any additional comments or questions you may have. Wait for Hertz to contact you.

6. Arrange to take a test drive. If you like the car, Hertz can help you get financing with a bank or credit union. You also have the option of arranging this yourself.

7. Drive off with your vehicle from the Hertz Car Sales location.

Tips & Warnings

• Use Internet Explorer as your browser to get the website to work correctly. Mozilla Firefox will only work until you get to the sales location page. It will not work on pulling up inventory.

• All prices listed on the website are fixed. Hertz will not bargain.

• You can try to find a car using the make and model option on the main page, but your desired make and model could be on the other side of the country. Use the state, city and zip code option instead to keep your options realistic.

• Always check the undercarriage to see if you can spot any signs of hard use on any car you are considering for purchase. Take the car to a mechanic for an appraisal if you don't know what to look for.
