Things You'll Need:
- PLAIN metal hair clips (any kind will do)
- Silk flowers and leaves in many different colors
- Cool or Hot Glue Gun
- Beads, ribbon, or other decorative accessories
-
Step 1
Hair ClipFirst decide what type of hair clips you want to use. You can use hair pins, or actual metal clips. Check at the craft store and see what they have available. Obviously, the larger the clip, the more stuff you can put on it. We always used clips like the one pictured
-
Step 2
If applying ribbon, apply a thin layer of hot/cool glue to the clip and gently place the ribbon down. Be careful if you are using a hot glue gun, the metal will be hot!
-
Step 3
Next, decide the arrangement of your silk flowers. You want to make sure to use large enough ones to cover the clip. It will make it look as if there are just flowers tucked into your hair. Pull each flower from the stem (or cut if necessary.) Place a small amount of hot glue where you would like each flower and then press the flower on to the clip.
-
Step 4
Finished Hair ClipOnce finished, allow the clip to dry over night. These make great gifts and can be made to match virtually any outfit.
