As well as always being chosen as a Test Match venue whenever England are playing test match internationals in this country, it is also used for Middlesex's county championship home matches. This year (2007), they cost £8000 and allow you access to all matches played at Lord's for the following 8 years. You should really only buy tickets from official bone fide recognised sources, either from Lord's itself or from any of their appointed agencies.
As Lord's is located in St John's Wood in Middlesex, it is at the very heart of the capital's commuter belt so be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to get to the ground before the match starts.
For a newcomer to spectator cricket, the 20/20 matches are an exciting introduction to the world of cricket as a spectator sport being fast and frantic compared to some of the other matches and, as many are often played at night under floodlights, it creates an added dimension to watching cricket.
Never buy from a tout, no matter how important the match. The likelihood is you'll pay far above the regular ticket price and/or worse still, your ticket may well end up being a forgery which may result in police action being taken.
