Stop purging so that you can start focusing on what is really going on in your mind.
Step2
Confront yourself. All of the feelings you have stuffed down, literally, inside of you need to be acknowledged first before you can move forward. Ask yourself why you binge and purge, and try to discover what triggers this type of behavior.
Step3
Reach out! Ask for support from family and friends. Being honest with them about your situation can help with your recovery from this eating disorder.
Step4
Ask for help from your doctor. They might be able to refer you to a support group or mental help that can aid you in your recovery from bulimia. You will also need a nutritionist or dietician who specializes in treating eating disorders to get you onto a healthy food track.
Step5
Learn to love yourself. Invest time in self-love activities such as grooming yourself or taking a day at a spa. Learn that you are worthy of a full life just like anyone else.
Step6
Learn how to manage your emotions and how you deal with them. By gaining some control over your emotions, you can stay grounded and move towards recovery.
Step7
Set realistic goals for yourself so you will not fall into the same destructive patterns again. By setting realistic goals, you will feel a great sense of confidence and achievement when you succeed.
Tips & Warnings
Make sure your doctor takes regular blood tests and exams so that they can keep track of your electrolytes and body functioning.

on 9/30/2007 For step one, it's a little hard to stop purging when you don't even know why you do it. It's a lot easier said than done.
