How to Find Base Housing at Camp Pendleton

Whether Camp Pendleton is your first duty station, or you are coming from another base, you know that finding housing for your family can sometimes be frustrating. Once the proper paperwork is completed, though, it is just a matter of time before base housing becomes available for you and your family.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • “Application for Assignment to Housing" form, DD1746
  • Fax Machine
  • Computer
  • Email
  1. Step 1

    Fill out the "Application for Assignment to Housing" form, DD1746.

  2. Step 2

    Send Form DD1746 to the Central Family Housing Office either by 1) faxing it to (760) 725-5559 DSN: 365, 2) emailing it to pndlfamilyhousing@usmc.mil, or 3) delivering it, in person, to the Central Family Housing Office at Camp Pendleton, Building 1138.

  3. Step 3

    Complete the application process by checking in at the Central Family Housing Office within 30 days of reporting for duty at Camp Pendleton.

  4. Step 4

    Anticipate being put on a waiting list for base housing. You may need to find off base housing until base housing becomes available to you and your family.

Tips & Warnings
  • Form DD1746 can be found at cpp.usmc.mil.
  • Check where you are on the waiting list at cpp.usmc.mil.
  • For more information about housing, you can email Family Housing at pndlfamilyhousing@usmc.mil.
  • Base housing is not always immediately available. You may need to find temporary housing in the communities surrounding Camp Pendleton.

on 10/19/2009 Don't be suprised to find youself staying out in town until Housing on base becomes available. Try calling Hotel Bell Housing. Provides lodging and travel assistance for military needing nightly and long term accommodations. Their is no fee for their services. Number is 760-231-6691
