How to Get Rid of Body Odor for Women

Call it "glowing," "perspiring," "dewing" or any other pretty term you can think of, but the bottom line is: When it's hot, girls sweat--and stink. But, we don't have to. With these few, simple tricks, you can sport tank tops, sleeveless numbers and the ever-worrisome cap sleeve with no worry of sweat stains or stench.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Here's a fun fact: If you ignore your underarm shaving duties in the shower, you'll tend to sweat more. So, the bottom line is daily hair removal not only makes you more attractive, it also allows your deodorant to do its job. Win, win.
Step2
Even though you're charmed by those deodorant sticks that squish out those sharply-scented worms, I find they don't actually "work." My rule of thumb is to stay away from clear stuff if you want true, lasting power.
Step3
The best, goes-on-sheer, no-rub-off deodorant is scented Mitchum cream. Yes, cream. You smear on with your fingers. Sure it's weird that you have to touch your deodorant, but you'll smell like a fresh daisy even into the next day.
Step4
Considering the topic I'm writing about, I'm now going to write a word which will gross you out:
Monistat.
But, it's not what you think, y'all!
For all of us who have to deal with the heinous heat of summer, Monistat makes something called "Soothing Care." Rub this silicone-based barrier behind your knees, on your inner thighs, under your breasts--anywhere your sweat. Not only will you not reek, you'll barely sweat. This is especially lovely when wearing your gauzy sundress in 100 degree weather--it will automatically ix-nay the afe-chay!
Step5
Sometimes your regular fragrance can be too heavy for summertime. When your body temperature rises, your scent is intensified. Try something light and soft like a body spray.

Tips & Warnings

  • When it's truly vile outside, try to work two showers into your schedule.
  • No time for two? Spritz some Evian spray when you get home. Refreshing!
  • Wash your face at night--especially in the summer. Extra heat can mean extra breakouts.
