Instructions

    • 1

Shuffle a standard deck of cards (with the Jokers removed) thoroughly.

    • 2

Deal all the cards into a 13 piles, face down. Twelve piles should form a circle, like the face of a clock. The 13 pile, the "hand," goes in the center.

    • 3

Take the top card from the "hand" and view it. The goal to arrange all the cards into 13 piles, with all four aces in the one o'clock position, all the "2s" at the two o'clock position and so on. The eleven o'clock is represented by the Jack and the twelve o'clock is represented by the Queen. The Kings belong in the center.

    • 4

Place the card you just chose from the hand and place it face up on its corresponding space on the clock face. For example, if you flipped a six, you would place it face up at the bottom position of the circle, where the six is on the clock face.

    • 5

Pick up a card from the pile you just added to, in this case the six. Place this card in its correct position, once again choosing your next card from the pile you just played on. If you turn up a King, it must be played on the center pile and you must choose your next card from that pile. The game ends when all the cards are in their correct position, which means you win or if all four kings are turned up before the game is finished, which means you lose.

    • 6

Vary the game by allowing the fourth King to be returned face down to any pile with cards still in play and a replacement card chosen. This is only allowed once and is sometimes called "Watch Solitaire."
