How to Induce Labor Naturally

3. Have sex. For a pregnant woman, sex can release a hormone called oxytocin, which causes the uterus to contract. Semen contains a substance known as prostaglandins, which will help soften your cervix.
4. Stimulate your nipples. If sex is too uncomfortable, nipple stimulation may be a better option. It helps to induce labor in much the same way sex does, by releasing oxytocin.
5. Try natural therapies. Acupuncture, massage, teas, herbs and homeopathic remedies can be used to inducing labor.
6. Relax. Simple relaxation exercises can ease your mind and body, making it comfortable and ready to begin labor.
