If you enjoy playing blackjack, you might want to build a blackjack table. It is fairly easy to make if you are experienced with wood carpentry. With your own blackjack table to play on, you will be able to nearly duplicate the casino gaming experience.

Instructions

    Build a Blackjack Table

  1. Step 1

Determine your budget for the project. Factor in the cost of materials along with any tools you may need to purchase. Also determine if you have enough space to house the table at the location where you plan to use it. Consider the portability of the table if you plan on moving it around frequently.

  2. Step 2

Create a construction plan. Your plan should include a list of the materials you need, the tools you need to make the table and a drawing of the table to use as an aid during the construction process. To be even more organized, list the steps you will need to make to make sure that nothing is forgotten.

  3. Step 3

Gather the tools you will need to build the blackjack table. You will need a jigsaw and handsaw, a staple gun, a power screwdriver and a 3 inch paintbrush along with some smaller brushes.

  4. Step 4

Buy or acquire the materials needed to build the blackjack table. Some of the materials you will need include two sheets of 4' x 8' x 1/2" wood, four pieces of 4" x 4" x 8" wood, an 8' x 8' piece of carpet padding, an 8' x 8' piece of felt in the color of your choice and several cans of paint to put the blackjack markings on the table. This is only a sample of the total materials required. To see the full list, visit PJ Healey.com (see Resources below).

  5. Step 5

Put the table together by following the plans you made and using the materials and tools you acquired.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be careful when using saws to cut wood. Have a first aid kit nearby and have someone watch you while cutting. This will allow the person to provide you with immediate medical attention should an accident occur.
  • If you plan to offer real gambling in your residence once the table is finished, check with the laws in your area to see if gambling is permitted.
  • When using paint, make sure your room is well ventilated to prevent health problems.
  • If you are under 18 years of age, make sure you ask for your parents permission before beginning the construction process. Ask for permission to use tools if needed.
