How to Take a Bus to Mazatlan, Mexico

Mazatlan is a beautiful city on the Pacific Ocean in Mexico. There is plenty to do and see, including beaches and watersports. If you'd like to take the bus to Mazatlan, you're in for an adventure.

      Choose a bus line. Greyhound is the most popular but the most expensive. TBC and Elite buses also run to Mazatlan. For details, visit the Mazatlan Tourism Web site (see Resources below).

      Plan your trip well in advance. Book your reservation online or by phone.

      Bring reading materials, playing cards, and a music player to pass the time during your journey.

      Pack only what you need. Most bus lines allow passengers to have bags weighing up to 50 pounds.

      Arrive at the bus station at least an hour ahead of time.
