Complete the Marriage License Affidavit in person at a county courthouse. Both bride and groom must be present.

Tips & Warnings
  • One parent must be present to sign for each person under 18. Minors under 16 years of age must have an appointment with a magistrate judge to obtain a court order permitting the minor to be married.
  • There is a no waiting period after application is made and no expiration date on the license. If not used within a year, however, both parties will have to sign a Recorder's affidavit.
  • Blood tests are not required. However, state law (Idaho Code 32-412A) requires both parties to read and sign a premarital AIDS educational pamphlet.
  • Marriage license requirements often change. Verify all information with your local marriage license office or county clerk before making any wedding or travel plans.
