How to Connect Your Web Browser to the Internet
Connecting your Web browser to the Internet is easy. What used to be slightly more difficult is user-friendly with each update, and with a few clicks, you will be connected to the Internet using the Web browser of your choice.

Click the 'Start' button on your computer.

Click on the 'My Network Places' link and then click on the network connection of your choice.

Click the 'Connect' button to your computer to the Internet.
Connect to the Internet with Internet Explorer

Open a fresh Internet Explorer window.

Click on the Tools menu.

Select the Internet Options choice from the drop-down box.

Click on the Connections tab.

Click on Setup to begin setting up your Internet connection.

Connect your Web browser to the Internet by clicking on the 'Next' button in the prompt window.

Choose options from your radio buttons options. You can either choose from a list of Internet Service Providers (ISP), set up an account manually or use a CD from an ISP.

Click the 'Next' button to continue and click 'Finish.'
Connect to the Internet with Mozilla Firefox

Open a Mozilla Firefox browser window.

Select Tools in the menu bar and then Options from the drop-down window.

Click on the Network tab and click the 'Settings' button.

Choose the connection you require for the Internet from the radio buttons.

Connect to the Internet with Netscape

Install Netscape for the first time, and you will be prompted to set up your Internet connection.

Click 'Next' in the prompt to begin the setup. For dedicated Internet connections, you can choose the 'I Already Have An Account' option from the radio buttons.

Select the phone number for your dial-up account from the drop-down menu after selecting 'I Don't Have An Account.'

Check any special requirements needed for your browser to connect to the Internet and click 'Next.'

Type your account information in the specified fields and click 'Next.'

Click the 'Connect' button to connect to the Internet.

Before you download a particular Web browser, make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements. These are usually listed on a browser's download page, near the actual link you'd use to download a copy.
If you need help as you're using a browser, you can access the Help menu directly from your browser's screen or visit the manufacturer's Web site for FAQs, troubleshooting and tips/tricks.
Don't ignore the updates your browser will periodically offer. These updates usually offer increased functionality and additional security.
