Tips & Warnings

  • If you don't have the latest version of Safari, download it free from Apple's online downloads page (see Resources below).
  • Running Safari version 2.0 requires the use of a computer with a 10.4 (Tiger) operating system. You will have to upgrade to Tiger in order to use this Web browser.
  • Call 1-800-275-2273 for additional help and support using Safari, or visit the Apple Support Page (see Resources below).
  • In order to increase your security while browsing online, turn on Safari's Private Browsing function.
  • This guide was written specifically for Safari 2.0 and may not apply to earlier versions.
  • Do not use the word 'And' as one of your search terms if you are using multiple words. Google will automatically include all of the terms in its search.
  • Safari will automatically save a history of the Web pages you've searched through unless you enable the 'Private Browsing' function.
