Tips & Warnings
  • Sync and download your email into Yahoo frequently to make sure you don't miss important emails. One of the best ways to keep your email list current is to keep Microsoft Outlook running. It automatically detects new emails and will download them as they come in, no matter which server they originate from (Gmail, Yahoo, or your own office).
  • Get additional answers to questions about Yahoo Mail from the Yahoo Help section of the Web site (see Resources below).
  • Don't store your passwords on your hard drive if you want to give yourself added protection from hackers and malicious programs. Storing your passwords makes them susceptible to theft, which can lead to identity theft and worse.
  • Yahoo Mail Plus is not free, but it is relatively inexpensive to use. You will not be able to sync your mail to Outlook unless you first purchase access to Yahoo Mail Plus.
