Despite the best efforts of the team at Yahoo, there are going to be times when you'll need to contact support. Whether you've got questions about your email account or want to report someone's behavior in a chat room, at some point you'll want to know how to get in touch with the powers that be. Fortunately, there are a number of simple ways to get in contact with Yahoo support.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet access
  • Computer
  • Yahoo account

    Contact Yahoo Support

  1. Step 1

Log in to the Yahoo Web site and sign in to your account (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

Click on the 'Help' link to be redirected to the Yahoo Help section. You can also head straight to this page by using the Yahoo Help Web address (see Resources below).

  3. Step 3

Click on the appropriate support section for a specific department. For example, if you need technical help, click 'Technical Support.' Click on the 'Account Help' link for help related to your account including billing and personal information.

  4. Step 4

Fill in all of the required information in the selected form, including your account information and your password.

  5. Step 5

Submit your question or concern by typing it into the text field. There is no limit to the number of characters that your query can include, so don't worry if the text box looks smaller than you need.

  6. Step 6

Click the 'Submit' button once you've finished filling out the contact form. Usually you will receive a response from Yahoo support in a few minutes via email.

Tips & Warnings
  • Have your questions or concerns clear in your mind when contacting Yahoo support. The help files can sometimes require very specific parameters in order to work, and speaking to someone live will require you to give details about your question or concern.
  • Visit Yahoo Answers (see Resources below) for answers to questions about other services and features of Yahoo, as well as questions about a variety of other topics.
  • While it's possible to get most of your security or privacy concerns addressed online using email or online chat features, other times you may be required to submit written requests or speak to a customer service representative by phone.

on 5/23/2009 I purchased a featured listing with yahoo real estate Classifieds and there IS no way to contact them. The email address they give for the featured listings bounces and the other email address, billing, just replies saying you have to look for your answer in their online forum or on yahoo answers which is ridiculous becuase I paid for a listing and my listing isn't showing up. I reather doubt an online forum is going to help me either get a refund from yahoo or get my dang listing to appear. There is no telephone number and I wish I knew that before I shelled out my $62 . Now I don't get my listing and I have to ask for a charge back on my credit card. Beware!
