For a one-of-a-kind cell phone case, create it out of duct tape. Duct tape is strong, flexible, and durable. You'll have fun making your cell phone holder and your friends will have fun talking about it. They may even want you to make them one.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Measure the height, length, and width of your cell phone. You may want to write down the measurements.
Step2
Tear off a piece of duct tape double the length of your cell phone, plus about ¼ inch. Place it sticky side up on a flat surface. Tear a second piece of tape the same length as the first piece. Place it sticky side up so it overlaps the first piece somewhat. Add pieces as needed to equal the width of your cell phone plus about ¼ inch. Set this piece aside.
Step3
Make a second piece exactly like the first piece.
Step4
Once both pieces are done, place them sticky sides together. Make sure to work slowly to smooth out air bubbles.
Step5
Trim the edges so they are even.
Step6
Fold the strip in half by bringing the bottom up to the top.
Step7
Tape the sides with additional pieces of duct tape. This will make a pocket for your cell phone.
Step8
Attach a metal badge clip to one side of the pocket with duct tape.
Step9
Slide your cell phone into your new case and clip it to your belt or waistband. Now you have a unique cell phone case.

Tips & Warnings

  • To remove gluey residue from scissors, use cellophane tape.
  • Be creative! Duct tape comes in many colors and patterns.
