Joining a forum, or 'Stream,' on YouTube and learning to post a video is an easy process. Whether the video you wish to post is self-created or a favorite submission from another user, it's easy to share content with your friends.

Things You'll Need:

Computer with Internet connection
YouTube account

Post a Video to a Forum

Step 1

Go to the YouTube home page (see the Resources section below).
Step 2

Click 'Log In' and enter your username and password.
Step 3

Access the 'YouTube Active Streams List' to join a forum.
Step 4

Post a video to the forum by first clicking on your 'QuickList' link. This will load all the videos you've added to this list. Build a QuickList by clicking on the plus sign ('+') that appears in a video while it's playing. This will add the video to your QuickList.
Step 5

Choose a video to post to the Stream or forum.
Step 6

Hit the 'Viewing History' link if your QuickList is empty. The first video on either list will automatically load into the player and will be shared with the rest of the room when you start to watch.
Step 7

Click the first button on a video in this list to preload it. Select the second button to share it with the room. Hitting the third button deletes the video from the list for good.

Post a Link to a Video in a Forum

Step 1

Click a video from any list or from anywhere on the site.
Step 2

Highlight the URL in the browser's address bar and copy it.
Step 3

Enter any active Stream.
Step 4

Find the 'Video URL' box in the Stream's forum.
Step 5

Paste the URL and click 'Add Video by URL.'
