Sometimes you're not near your computer when there's news you want to share. Sure, you could call all your friends one by one, but that might take all day. You might want to consider using your cell phone to post the news on your MySpace profile. Here's how to do it.

Using Your Cellphone

1. Access your cell phone's text messaging menu and select 'Send New Message' (or your cell phone's equivalent command).
2. Input the text messaging number that your text-to-MySpace service provider indicates. This is usually a 5-digit number, but it can be longer or it can even be a standard telephone number.
3. Include a subject so the service provider knows where exactly to post your message. For example, type 'Bulletin' if your message is a bulletin or 'Comment' if you plan on having your message sent to another user.
4. Enter the body of the text as you normally would. It might be necessary to include the actual web address of the recipient, so be sure you double check this requirement with your service provider
5. Click 'Send' once you're done creating the message. This will send the message to your service provider, which will then retransmit it to MySpace.

• Try to choose a provider that can transmit messages to MySpace for free. Some charge for this service, while others do not.
