Add New Photos to MySpace Slideshows

Step1
Prepare photos for MySpace by resizing them to below 600k. Any image software program will work for this, including the free program IrfanView (see Resources below). Save photos as "JPG" files or "GIF" files in RGB color.
Step2
Log in to MySpace and choose to "Add/Edit Photos."
Step3
Upload your pictures by clicking on "Browse" in the "Upload Photo" box. The "Choose File" dialog box will open as a pop-up. Select the images, which are saved locally on your computer and click "Open."
Step4
Click "Upload" and wait for your file to finish transferring. Only one photo can be transferred at a time. New photos will automatically be included in existing slideshows.

Tips & Warnings

  • MySpace slideshows rotate through every photo that you have uploaded to your profile.
  • Several other Web sites offer slideshows that can be embedded in your MySpace profile, but they will also carry an advertisement for their site.
  • Go to the MySpace Help if you run into technical difficulties as you create your slideshow (see Resources below).
  • Remember that while you may have your profile set to private, if you place slideshows as comments on your friend's public profiles, your photos will be seen by anyone on MySpace.
  • Do not post photos containing violence, graphic sexual situations or photos of other people without their permission.
