How to Email a Photo Slide Show to Propose

So you are looking for an interesting way to propose? Love taking pictures? Why not create a photo slide show of some of your favorite memories together and email it to her when you ask her to marry you? You can even ask her in an email. Here's one way of doing it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

1. Sort through photos of the two of you together to determine which of them you'd like to use in your slide show. If they are already digital, you can just move them all into the same folder to make them easy to find; if they are prints from film, you'll want to get them scanned into a digital format.
2. Once you know which photos you will be using, connect to the Internet, open your web browswer and go to Slide.com (see Resources, below).
3. Sign up for a free account; all that you will need is an email address and a password that you create.
4. Upload the photos that you'll be using to the site or import photos that you have stored at Flickr, Photobucket or even MySpace.
5. Enter captions for the photos as you want them to appear in the slide show. Put the images in the order that you want them to appear. Choose your desired theme, set the size of the slide show and the speed at which the images will change.
6. Change the privacy settings so that the slide show will only be visible to the people who you invite. Click to save.
7. Click on the Share Slide Show tab, and enter the email address you're sending the slide show to. Personalize the subject and text of the message and hit send.

Tips & Warnings

• Send the slide show off to a trusted friend, who can keep a secret, to see if they also like it.
• Other software and online programs can be used, but Slide.com is a free service.
• Don't make your slide show proposal public unless both of you want to share it.
