Podcasting is the distribution of media files online through syndication feeds, so people can download them and listen to them whenever they want. Typically, we think of audio files when we think of podcasting, but this process can also involve video clips: Video podcasting (sometimes shortened to vodcasting or vidcasting). Here's how you would use the GarageBand software on a Mac to create a video podcast.

    Tips & Warnings

    • If you need to change any of the text after it's been uploaded to your webpage, you can just change it on the website and click Publish.

    • When you're shooting your video, if you're shooting it specifically for a video podcast, try and stay with close-up shots when you're filming your subject. Most of this will be viewed on a computer or iPod, so the screen you're working with is smaller. Wide shots with lots of details will be lost if the screen is small.

    • After your video podcasts have been published, you can always submit it to iTunes, so others can see it.
