How to Make a Video Podcast Using iMovieHD
Podcasting is the distribution of media files online through syndication feeds, so people can download them and listen to them whenever they want. Typically, we think of audio files when we think of podcasting, but this process can also involve video clips: Video podcasting (sometimes shortened to vodcasting or vidcasting). Here's how you would use the GarageBand software on a Mac to create a video podcast.

Open up iMovieHD and create a new movie project.

Import your video clips, and drag them onto the timeline to edit.

Once your videos are edited to form, you can optimize your video podcast is by adding features. Create chapters by clicking on Add Marker and dividing your video into segments.

With each chapter, you can give it a chapter title name and description, as well as add art and links that go along with each part of the video. A cover art photo looks nice with it, so people can see what they're clicking on. Podcast URLs should go under the chapter title of each chapter marker.

Other optional descriptions you can add include adding the artist name, contact email, and parental advisory setting. All this information will be available if you decide to upload it to iTunes.

Once you're done with that, you want to go to the Share menu and click on iWeb. Choose "Share for Video Podcast." iMovie will open up iWeb, which will start setting up your video podcast.

It'll ask you to choose a template for your website. Choose one. This is where your video files will go. Once it finishes, you'll have a page with your video podcasts all set up and ready to share.

Tips & Warnings
If you need to change any of the text after it's been uploaded to your webpage, you can just change it on the website and click Publish.
When you're shooting your video, if you're shooting it specifically for a video podcast, try and stay with close-up shots when you're filming your subject. Most of this will be viewed on a computer or iPod, so the screen you're working with is smaller. Wide shots with lots of details will be lost if the screen is small.
After your video podcasts have been published, you can always submit it to iTunes, so others can see it.
