-
Step 2
Go online and search for more information by using keywords such as ‘graffiti’ or ‘graffiti ideas’ and so on.
-
Step 3
Study the graffiti types well. Note the styles, color schemes and themes of all the graffiti you come across. It will help you decide on your style.
-
Step 4
Start practicing with alphabets. Draw names on a sheet of paper. Start with your name. Learning how to graffiti takes time, but usually, names are the easiest set of words to practice.
-
Step 5
Visualize the entire graffiti while drawing every element in it. Practice helps you develop your own style.
-
Step 6
Use your pencil lightly so that it is easier to erase and change the design. Make sure your letters are large and have enough space between them; this way your graffiti does not look congested and is easy to work on.
-
Step 7
Try different styles and settle for the one you are most comfortable with.

Step 8
Draw every alphabet as neatly as possible. Keep it simple, and don’t start off with complex designs and curves right at the start.

Step 10
Get a sheet of plywood. It should be easily available with the local hardware stores.

Step 11
Sketch the design you want to paint. Start with something simple.
-
Step 12
Fill the design with paint. Be careful and patient. It takes time to master a paintbrush or a spray gun.

Step 13
Work on details of the design as you want. For e.g.: You can change the thickness and color of the outline or shade the pictures to give them a 3D effect.
-
Step 14
Experiment with various types of colors in one graffiti. Visualize the effect you want the colors to produce and choose colors accordingly. For e.g.: Use crayons and oil pastels in one graffiti or try using water colors with oil paint in another.
-
Step 15
Remember, practice makes you perfect. Practice on different types of designs and on different types of surfaces to improvise on your style.
