How to Program the Cingular 3125 Mobile Phone

Cingular, one of the forerunners of the smartphone industry, recently introduced the Cingular 3125 with features that allow you to effectively synchronize individual contacts, calendar and e-mail. Here are guidelines for programming the Cingular 3125.

• Cingular wireless plan

1. Install the ActiveSync software that comes with the Cingular 3125 on your computer. This program allows your computer to transfer and receive data from the Cingular 3125. Insert the Cingular CD into your computer, and follow the simple on-screen instructions.
   
   

2. Connect the Cingular 3125 to your computer with the USB cable. Upon reaching the "Get Connected Wizard," you will be prompted to hook up your phone to the computer.

3. Wait for the computer to detect your phone. Make sure that your phone is turned on and that the USB cable is securely plugged in to both the phone and the computer.
   
   

4. Follow the on-screen instructions that appear shortly after you have connected the phone. During this process, select which items you want downloaded to your phone including contacts, calendar appointments or e-mail

5. Click "Sync" after choosing which items to program. Wait a few seconds until a message appears verifying that the process succeeded before disconnecting

Tips & Warnings

• You can also use a wireless connection such as Bluetooth to sync your Cingular 3125 with your computer.
• Beware of imitations. Be suspicious if the price of a Cingular 3125 is cheap--it may be a counterfeit model. Buy only authentic 3125’s from authorized Cingular dealers to assure you're buying quality merchandise.
