The Firefox Web browser is fast becoming the choice of a new generation for surfing the Web. It’s fast, it uses tabs and it includes pop-up blocking as a standard feature. Just open up your Firefox browser and use some of these tips and tweaks to improve its performance and usability.

  • Firefox Web browser

Customize your Toolbar to Make the Most of your Screen Space

Step1
Right-click on any toolbar to open a context sensitive menu.
Step2
Uncheck “Bookmarks Toolbar.”
Step3
Right-click on the toolbar again. This time, click on “Customize.”
Step4
Click on the dropdown box next to "Show" and select “Icons.”
Step5
Drag the icons on the Navigation Toolbar up to the main toolbar.
Step6
Click the “Done” button.
Step7
Right-click on the Navigation Toolbar.
Step8
Hide the sidebar.

Speed Up Searches with Dedicated Search Boxes and Settings

Step1
Open "View," then "Toolbars," then "Customize."
Step2
Find the "Search" box.
Step3
Drag it to an appropriate spot on your Toolbar.
Step4
To search using the dedicated box, click on the icon beside the box to find the search engine you want to use. Type your search in the box then hit the “Enter” key.
