How to Go Skiing in Sunday River, Maine

Sunday River has not one, not two, but eight peaks with 131 interconnected trails. Eighteen lifts, including four high-speed quads, take you swiftly to your appointed trail. Of course, no ski area is complete without snowboarding terrain parks. Sunday River features a Superpipe and a staircase. It is near Bethel, Maine, not far north of Portland.

Plan Your Ski Trip to Sunday River

Step1
Call (800) 543-2SKI to book your on-site lodging at Sunday River, or book online at the Sunday River Web site (see Resources below).
Step2
Enjoy ritzy ski trip accommodations and excellent service at the Grand Summit Hotel. These accommodations are fairly expensive, but the extensive amenities (like in-room massage services) make the price well worth it.
Step3
Opt to appreciate the spectacular scenery at the posh Jordan Grand Resort Hotel, where accommodations are likewise moderately expensive.
Step4
Explore cheaper lodging options at the Snow Cap Inn. Warm hospitality make the standard rooms feel nicer.
Step5
Gather all your friends and book a group deal. Stay in a condo right next to a ski trail. Find great deals on per-person lodging and lift rates if you have a minimum of 20 people.

Steer your car, SUV or minivan on Route 95 from Portland to the area where it meets Route 26 near Bethel, Maine.

Save 10 percent if you book your eTickets online. When you arrive at the mountain, your tickets will be waiting for you.
