Mesaba Airlines is a subsidiary of MAIR Holdings, and is operating as Northwest Airlink. Mesaba is the 12th biggest airline in the U.S. and flies to at least 100 cities in the U.S. and Canada. The airline has three major headquarters in St. Paul, Detroit and Memphis.

Step1
Don't bring too much stuff with you. The baggage allowance for coach is a total of two pieces weighing 50 lbs. Business class gets two pieces at 70 pounds each and a third piece of no more than 40 pounds.
Step2
Take your handicapped devices and your car seat with you; these items will be transported free of charge.
Step3
Forget about the waiting in line at the airport to check-in. When you book travel on Mesaba Airlines, you get the benefits of Northwest Airlink as well. This means you can check-in for your flight from your home computer at the Northwest Airlines Web site.

Book Your Travel on Mesaba Airlines

Step1
View fares and schedules via the Northwest Airlines Web site (see Resources below). At the top of the page, there's a tab that says ''Promotions & Products.'' Click and review to see if you can obtain discounted rates on your desired travel plans.
Step2
Use the ''Flights'' tab to look up schedules and fares. Enter your travel dates, round-trip or one way and the number of travelers.
Step3
Click ''search'' and the system will search by price or schedule (whichever you prefer). Look through the results and choose the flight that best suits your needs.
Step4
Complete your online booking for Mesaba Airlines/Northwest Airlink. You'll just need to fill in a registration form as you book your flight. You will also be invited to the World Perks Program. You may read more about it if this interests you.
Step5
Choose the "Guest Access" if this is a one-time purchase and to speed the process along. Read the fine print once you get to the final confirmation page. Lastly, print out your reservation for check-in either at the ticket counter or the self-serve kiosk at the airport.
