Making your way through Poland via the train system is by far the easiest and most relaxing way to travel. Read on to learn how to book train travel from Warsaw to Krakow.

Buy Train Tickets From Warsaw to Krakow

Step1
Book your train tickets by visiting the RailEurope Web site. See the Resources section below for a link. You can also call (888) 382-RAIL.
Step2
Choose first- or second-class service. Sleeper cars are not available on short trips. Tickets are reasonably priced.
Step3
Determine how many tickets you need, and take note of any senior citizens or youth that will be traveling with you. They may receive a discount on the faster trains.
Step4
Study your ticket and understand the information presented. The car number is located under "Wagon" and the seat number is called "Miejsca".
Step5
Know that travel can take anywhere from three to six hours. Book tickets on the shuttle express service for a direct and very fast journey to Krakow.

Depart for Krakow

Step1
Reach the Warsaw station at least 30 minutes before your departure.
Step2
Find your platform number, called "Peron," which is posted on the yellow signs.
Step3
Locate your designated boarding area through signs posted on the platform. This is especially important if you have an assigned seat.
Step4
Read city destination sides posted on the front of side of the train cars. Verify you are boarding the correct train.
