How to Find the Best Starter Weapons in Dead Rising
Just after you enter the first area, Paradise Plaza, there are some sweet weapons to be had right off the bat. There are a few in the warehouse before you get there, but the real goodies are just waiting to be found!

Smash the boxes. They yield a variety of items on a random basis, but what you'll usually find is: Frozen Vegetables, Cabbage, Squash, Sickle, Stun Gun and Shower Head. The Shower Head, believe it or not, is NASTY!

Look for the Lead Pipe just after you exit the elevator. It's on your right, around the corner.

Enter the Warehouse from the roof (use the door, not the elevator) and find the weapons on top of the shelves. There is usually a Propane Tank, a Sledgehammer and a few others goodies.

Head to the stairs on the right after you exit the warehouse. Go up to the landing in the middle of the stairs, then turn around so you're facing down the stairs.

Step down 1 step and look to your left.

Look for the blue ledge, then try to jump to it. It's tricky, but if you're lucky, you'll climb up to it. Walk around until you see a large teddy bear. There should be an Orange Juice and a box. Take the OJ and continue across the ledge. At the very end, there will be a Submachine Gun! Grab that SMG!

Go to the Columbian Roastmasters on the second floor.

Grab some Orange Juice from the ever-full cooler, then move a little to the right.

Look over the edge. If you see an orange awning, you're in the right place.

Jump onto the awning and grab the Katana! This bad boy is an instant zombie killer, though the effect is, to be honest, a horror show! Enjoy!
