Instructions

  1. Book Your Ticket on Kyrgyzstan Airlines

    • 1

Check out Manas International Airport's Web site (see Resources below). It's not the most informative site; but there are timetables available for departing and arriving flights. See what flights are active on your travel dates of choice.

    • 2

Book your ticket on Kyrgyzstan Airlines via a travel agent. Travel agencies will do the hard work for you, including breaking the language and information barrier. However, most mainstream travel agencies, online included, will not cater to Kyrgyzstan Airlines. You'll have to find an agent familiar with airlines in this region of the world.

Choose a Departure City and a Destination

    • 3

Fly between Bishkek and cities within the country. Kyrgyzstan Airlines has flights connecting Bishkek to Jalal-Abad and Osh. Kyrgyzstan is a small country. Travel between the cities is not too difficult. Other airlines in the country and the railway systems will have more domestic travel options available.

    • 4

Fly from Bishkek's Manas International Airport to a number of international destinations. Kyrgyzstan Airlines provides service to and from Bishkek and Delhi, Dushanbe, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Seoul, Urumqi or Yekaterinburg. Charter flights to Beijing are also available.

Tips & Warnings

  • Arrive at least 2 hours prior to your departure time to avoid missing your flight. The security policies for Kyrgyzstan Airlines are unknown.

  • Double-check that your visa is valid and that your name is spelled correctly on the ticket.

  • This airline has no Web site. It offers no way for English speakers to book flights with them, either by phone or over the Internet.

  • Consider Altyn Air as an alternative airline. Altyn Air is Kyrgyzstan's other big airline and both services fly to most of the same routes. By comparing prices between the two, you'll find the best deal.

  • If you are only looking for a flight to Bishkek and back, keep in mind that many major airlines in the area will offer international flights to Bishkek. Check out any mainstream Internet travel agency to see the available flights and prices.

  • Check in at least 40 minutes prior to your departure time. Most airlines will not allow any more check-ins after that.

  • For economy class tickets, airlines generally allow luggage to weigh around 44 lbs. before charging an additional fee.

  • Any U.S. citizen needs a valid visa to enter Kyrgyzstan.
