Step 1
Choose one of the park's six campgrounds: Riley Creek Campground, Savage River Campground, Teklinika River Campground, Igloo Campground, Sanctuary Campground and Wonder Lake Campground. Together they offer 291 campsites.
-
Step 2
All the campgrounds accept reservations, have a maximum stay of 14 days and have either pit or flush toilets. Some campgrounds permit RVs while others only allow tents. Teklinika River Campground has special restrictions, including a three-night minimum stay.
-
Step 3
Riley Creek is the only campground that is open all year. The others are open from May or June until September.
-
Step 4
Build fires in the fire grates only. Obtain firewood from the store near the Denail Park Hotel.
-
Step 5
Keep pets on a leash at all times. Pets are not allowed on the park trails or buses.
-
Step 6
Observe the quiet time from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Checkout is at 11 a.m.
-
Step 7
Keep your camp clean. Wash dishes as soon as you are finished with them. Use foil when cooking on the fire grates. Keep and cook food away from the area where you will sleep. Store food in hard-sided vehicles. Do not feed any animals. These steps will help prevent wildlife problems.
-
Step 8
Make reservations for Riley Creek, Savage, Teklinika and Wonder Lake campgrounds by calling (800) 622-7275. You will be charged an additional $4 registration fee.
-
Step 9
Take the camp bus if the campground you choose does not allow personal vehicles or you do not bring a vehicle. Plan on paying $18.50 for adults, $9.25 for 15 to 17 year olds, and $0 for those 14 and under. You must reserve your seat on the bus when you make reservations for your campsite.
