How to Listen to an Audiobook in iTunes

You can listen to an audiobook in iTunes just as you'd listen to a song or watch a video. Just follow these steps.

Things You'll Need

• Account with iTunes
• Computer

Instructions

1. Open iTunes on your computer.

2. Download an audiobook. Audiobooks generally are saved in the M4B audio format. You can find them at the iTunes Store as well as on other commercial Internet sites.

3. Add the audiobook to your library. Click "File" and "Add to library." Browse for the file that you've just downloaded.

4. Click the "Edit" menu and select "Preferences." Under "Show," make sure "Audiobooks" is checked.

5. Click the "Audiobooks" icon.

6. Double-click an audiobook to begin playing.

Tips & Warnings

• When you listen to an audiobook, it will automatically begin playing where you left off.

• Use the "Chapters" menu to navigate between chapter sections.

• Unofficial audiobooks may be saved in a different format and will appear in your library, rather than in the audiobooks section.
