How to Use the Battery Pack of the Polaroid PDV-0823A Portable DVD Player

Without the battery pack, the Polaroid PDV-0823A 8” Portable DVD player wouldn't be portable. Here's how to use the player's battery pack.

Things You'll Need:

  • Polaroid PDV-0823A 8” Portable DVD battery pack
  • Polaroid PDV-0823A 8” Portable DVD player
  1. Step 1

    To attach the battery pack to the Polaroid PDV-0823A turn the player upside down and align the tabs and battery contacts to the corresponding tab recesses and contacts.

  2. Step 2

    When you hear the battery pack click, it has locked in place.

  3. Step 3

    To charge the battery pack, plug the 12 V DC IN power adapter's end into the jack on the right-hand side of the DVD player. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a safe outlet.

  4. Step 4

    Let the battery pack charge for four hours. After it has fully charged, you can use it for 2.5 hours.

  5. Step 5

    Unplug the power adapter from both the battery pack and the outlet.

Tips & Warnings
  • Check that the battery pack is fully charged by looking at the battery indicator: a green light indicates charging is completed.
  • Charge the battery pack prior to using it for the first time.
  • Charging the battery pack for more than 8 hours can result in reduced service life.
