Your Creative Zen MP3 Player allows you the option of listening to FM radio broadcasts, if you decide you’ve had enough of your own music files and audio books. Follow these steps to use the radio feature on your Creative Zen MP3 Player and tune into FM radio.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Turn your Creative Zen MP3 Player on. The Power button is usually on the top of the device. (If your player doesn’t turn on, try charging the battery with your connection cable.)

  2. Step 2

Connect your headphones. The player will use the cable of any headphones plugged into the jack as a radio antenna.

  3. Step 3

Navigate to the Main Menu. It should pop up immediately when the Creative Zen Player turns on.

  4. Step 4

Use the Autoscan feature to find a radio station. To do this, go to the Radio menu, press "Options," locate "Autoscan" and use the navigation arrows to select it.

  5. Step 5

Use the Up and Down arrows to switch between the saved radio stations that Autoscan finds. (Autoscan automatically saves all the radio stations that come in clearly.)

  6. Step 6

Use the Left and Right navigation arrows to tune your FM radio stations manually.

  7. Step 7

Save a favorite station by pressing Options from the radio menu, then selecting "Save as Preset."

Tips & Warnings
  • If you’re not receiving a radio station, the most likely explanation is that the reception isn’t good where you are. Try using your FM radio in another area before returning your device or sending it in for repair.
  • Make sure your headphones or earphones are connected before trying to tune to an FM radio station, since the player uses the headphone cord as an antenna.
