The Archos MP3 Player lets you customize and use your player in a variety of ways not possible with simpler models. For instance, it has the capability to use compact flash cards for file transfers from your home computer or another device. Follow these instructions to copy files from a compact flash card to your Archos MP3 Player.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Compact flash card
  • Archos MP3 Player

Step1
Turn on your Archos MP3 Player. Most models have the Power button located on top.
Step2
Make sure your player is on the Main menu. It won’t be able to interact properly with the compact flash card if it is in Play mode.
Step3
Locate the compact flash card slot (on top next to the Power button). Lift the rubber flap and insert the compact flash card. The Archos should open up a dialogue window automatically when it detects the compact flash card.
Step4
Locate the window with your Gmini hard drive (on the right) and the window with your files from the compact flash card (on the left).
Step5
Select files from the compact flash window using the arrows and copy them to the window of your Gmini’s hard drive.

Tips & Warnings

  • Archos MP3 players don’t always recognize every type of file they encounter. If there are files on your compact flash card that are not showing up on your MP3 player, go to the settings and turn on “Show All Files.” This will reveal file types that the Archos player might not recognize.
